The Cleveland Kids In Need Resource Center is run entirely with help from dedicated community members just like you. Any time you have to give sustains Kids In Need's ability to provide teachers and their students with the necessary tools for learning. We have several individual and group opportunities, and are as flexible as possible in accommodating your busy schedule.

To express your interest in helping out, please send a brief email to info@clevelandkidsinneed.org or call us at 216.361.0840.

Individual Opportunities

Assist with Teacher Shopping

Tuesday through Thursday 3:00pm - 6:00pm (during the school year)

You will help teachers with the check-in process, as they shop for the free supplies, and with the check-out process. You will become acquainted with the Center's shopping procedures and policies so that you can answer any questions the teachers might have.

Stock the Store

Monday through Thursday 9:00am - 2:00pm (during the school year)

You will help us stock, restock and stage merchandise throughout the store. Retail experience is a plus, but certainly not required.

Assist with Administrative Duties

Monday through Friday 10:00am - 5:00pm

If you have a special skill set that could contribute to the running of Kids In Need, we are happy to have your help!

Group Opportunities

Host a Supply Drive

Hours are set by you and your organization.

Your business, organization, school or community group can conduct a school supply drive any time during the year to help keep the Resource Center's shelves filled and, in turn, the students prepared for class.

Please visit our Host a Supply Drive page for more information and a Tool Kit to get started.

Work on a Group Project

Hours are set by you and your group.

Some projects are just too big for one person! Take on various tasks, like sorting merchandise, with a group of friends or co-workers. After receiving a donation, we sort through it to be sure the teachers take home only the best supplies. Most often, we need assistance with organizing school uniforms.
